Skin Care

Do you remember my previous post about my new found favorite moisturizing beauty soap from Personal Collection?  I re ordered more! Hehehe! Shall we call this post "Personal Collection Haul"? hehe! Anyway here are the items  I ordered ♥ yuph like I mentioned in my previous post I ordered the Glutathione Soap for me to try ♥

Voila! Here's the new Glutalight Soap and my ever so favorite S'kin Soap ♥ I really have to say it again I love love love S'kin Moisturizing Beaty Bar it is the best! My dealer also told me that there was a price mark down from P70.00 per bar to P55.00 per bar ... nice!! The Glutalight soap also had a sale from P109.00 to P80.00 per bar.. amazing right!

My say about the Glutalight Soap is : I like the packaging and the scent of this soap.  Very dainty and clean smelling! One bar took a week and a half which was a good thing.  Not sure of the whitening effect though cause I just started using it.  The soap overall is something I would recommend because it's not harsh on the skin (no allergies after), it smells good and it doesn't dry your skin. Now, about S'kin.. oh my goodness I cannot explain to you my love for this bath soap... i love it! Nuff said. Photos of the wonder soaps ♥

I also bought the Nouvo 8 in 1 Facial Cleanser which retails at P99.00 per tube.  This product is amazing! It gently cleans and removes away dirt and make up on the face easily and it gives that clean feelin.  Touch your skin after washing it and you will feel that your face is moisturized!  It also brightens the skin ♥ ♥ Love this product! Must try ♥ ♥ ♥

I also tried their Glow Whitening Lotion and the Heart "Dream" Spray.  I also love them! The lotion though you must put just the right amount cause it could leave white marks on the skin if you put too much, and the Body Spray is also a great produtct.  I've actually tried the three variations: Heart Believe is a fruity scent, Heart Dream is a floral scrent and Heart Realize is a musy scent and all scents are amazing!

Glow lotion retails at 129.00 per tube
Heart Dream Eau De Toilette retails at 245.00 per bottle

Personal Collection products are something I look forward to buying only because I believe in their product so much.  I love the quality and sensitiveness on our Asian Skin ♥ Over all, I am happy with these purchases and I look forward to continually patronizing them.  I am satisfied ♥ Since I have tried their products already, I am actually already thinking of registering myself as a dealer so I can share to others these amazing products♥

Bang for my buck!

As mentioned in my previous post about Sophie Paris.. I got my lipsticks a week ago.  I really ordered all 11 colors, sadly only 7 were available :( and I would like to share with you my new lippies and awesome discovery.

These Sophie Lipsticks are fabulous.. it's very affordable at only P85.00 per piece the colors that came are VI Pink, Summer Pink, Russian Red, Velvet Nude, Caramel Sugar, Fantastic Red and Ice Pink.. i super love them all... the vibrant color is suitable for my Morena complexion and the packaging is very nice ♥

Pros: Very affordable and colors once again are super vibrant ♥
It doesn't have any smell or taste which I absolutely love.

Cons: You have to wear a lip balm first as it can make your lips look dry after after a few hours...

When I purchased this I actually discovered something which I truly love cause I also ordered their MAGIC PINK make up line ♥

Oh my goodness this product I love love love ♥ I was hesitant to try it at first because again I am Morena I thought that it would look funny to try on something PINK on my face.  But since the Magic Pink Cream and Magic Pink Lipstick is less than P100.00 per piece I gave it a try anyway ♥ I must say I am now obsessed with them.. they have become holy grails to me ♥ It can be PINK but they look so Natural ♥ ♥ ♥ Really nice!!!! I love this so much and strongly recommend girls out there to try it as well ♥ You might just love it the way I do..

Now I am thinking of registering with Sophie Paris so I can sell these products... i super recommend it.  Because I appreciate how the PINK appeared on my face... I am now open to trying pink lipsticks, eyeshadows and cheek tint unlike before I couldn't dare try it.. but with this Magic Cream I now appreciate my skin and complexion more. Here is a photo of me with my pinkness... too bright though the cheek tint can't be really seen.. but look.. doesn't it look nice???

Lollipop Costume Done

As mentioned in my previous post I was asked to make a lollipop costume as props for my daughter's Family Day presentation in two weeks.. I first made a lollipop cut out using styro materials and then designed it with crepe papers, glitter glues and ribbons.. after cutting out the lollipop styro i then used plenty of white glue and glued it on the the white part of a 1/8 size Illustration board.  I actually made two lollipops as the task was to make a Front and Back Lollipop costume.

After the lollipops were glued to the illustration board, I used a pink ribbon for the edges of the styropor and used push pins to hold the ribbon. Then I bought colorful bling stickers and then border-designed the illustration board.  Once it was done, I covered it with a plastic book cover leaving a little allowance at the top part so I can insert the yellow cord to hold both Illustration boards. As an added touch to the YELLOW theme for Missha's Family Day, I bought a yellow cord and added yellow tassels at the bottom part of the board.

And voila.. done.. I have completed making my daughter's lollipop costume ♥ Now all I need to find next is colorful hair ribbons and clips as this was also a requirement for their presentation.  I wonder what she will be doing there ♥

Attraction ♥

I already received my ordered lipsticks from Sophie Paris and oh my goodness I love them all... i super duper love their vibrant colors.. I'll put up a post about it on my next post.

What I really like to talk about in this post is their perfume called "Attraction". I got it at the introductory price of 260.00 Php which is super affordable! The scent is absolutely love love love... it smells a little musky with a hint of florals.. it just really smells really good and classy..

Overall I am happy with this product. The packaging is nice and the bottle looks great. Like I said the smell is awesome however it wears off right away so you have to respray every two hours or something.. but i really recommend it to be tried.. its the perfect daylight scent for every girly girl.

If you would like to order pls let me know I know someone who sells Sophie Paris products..

Happy Halloween!!! This is a year where my kids and I never got the chance to go trick or treating only because we had so much plans to do instead of trick or treating like they did last year.. Hubby and I have both been super busy at work and on our rest day we give to our kids what they want and they have been asking for the beach so off we went ♥ While other kids were at the mall for Halloween party my kids were at the beach swimming the entire day lol! I prepared a costume for them, it's just that mas gusto lang nila talaga sa beach siguro.

Anyway, Happy November guys! Kids and Hubby brought me to work today, yup I sadly had to work but it's ok cause Hubby and the Kids spent time together.  After they dropped me off, Hubby took them to Jollibee for breakfast ♥ Yup.. no nanny and the hubby never feels like cooking in the morning from the beginning of time so off they went to Jollibee ♥ They complete me ♥ I love Shams, Missha & Laico ♥ ♥ ♥

Lollipop Costume Update ♥

Do you remember my previous post about the Lollipop Costume / Props that my daughter's teacher asked me to make for my child's Family Day presentation on November 15? Well I finally had the chance to start making it and here's a preview of my DIY Lollipop Props ♥

Before I post the picture the materials I used were: 1/8 Illustration Board, Glue, Crepe Paper in Different colors, styropor and glitter glue ♥  Also bought ribbons as well for design.

I was informed that other parents just drew on the Illustration board, mine is a little diffrent I fist made a lollipop using styropor  and then glued pieces of the crepe paper together. After that I used a cutter and cut out the lollipop from the square styropor and glued it to the white part of the 1/8 Illustration boad.

Placed a cute out stryopor heart in the middle and used ribbons ♥  I am actually not done with it I have so much more to do on this project.. this is just a preview hehehe... been very busy at work lately so I guess I'll finish this project on the weekend (on my restday)...

Sophie Paris

I know someone who sells Sophie Paris items.  I actually saw the catalog before and ordered a black bag which I like so much ♥ It was P 890.00 and came with a free pouch.  The pouch I use for my make up.  I also ordered a sling wallet for P690.00 and I sooo love it cause it had plenty room for cards and had pockets for mobile phones which I use when I go to the grocery or the mall and don't feel like bringing a huge bag. This is the black bag I bought.. I have yet to take a photo of the sling wallet..
The bag is great.. the materials used and the size is just pefect! I use it for work and really I have received compliments ♥  Really nice.

Well, I was browsing throught their Online Catalog and saw their make up collection.  Like I've mentioned in my previous post about make up - I am very picky with make up.  I don't buy it if it's too expensive.  Anyway, as I checked their online catalog I saw their Sophie Lipstick collection which was really inexpensive.. imagine at P85.00 per piece!

I was hesitant to order it at first and then I googled for reviews and saw swatches and awesome feedback about it.  Some started buying just one until they loved it and felt like they got a bang for their buck and ordered more... hmm.. right then and there I was convinced to try it.

I am happy and excited to tell you that I placed my order today for all 11 colors, however the dealer told me that only 7/11 colors are available.  I also ordered the Pink Magic Lipstick, Pink Magic Cream and the Attraction Perfume all for only P1080.00!!! I am excited cause my items will be delivered tomorrow! Can't wait to try them all!!

So wait for my review... if I like it.. I'll definitely order more as presents for my workmates ♥ and friends ♥ ♥ ♥

Awesome Quality ♥

When I was still living in the States I have been a MAC, Maybelline, Bobbi Brown, Revlon, L'Oreal, Nars, Benefit, Almay, Shiseido, etc.. cosmetic user. Of course when I was a single-career woman, I had extra funds to splurge on make up of any brand as long as I wanted the shade of the eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, etc. I would say that majority of the vain women like me would agree that GOOD MAKE UP IS NOT CHEAP! Am I correct? After 6 years of marriage and two babies ♥ i now have to set priorities and ofcourse that's to ensure that I support my kids and family.  Before I spend my hard earned money in buying my luxury wants/wishlist.. I might as well pay the school first or buy my kids their necessities. As sad as it may sound.. make up  was always something that needed to be scratched off the list to give way to the priorities...

Until I one day while I was at the mall looking for an emergency concealer as a pimple just appeared on my face out of nowhere.. I discovered Ever Bilena. I must say that the foundation stick I bought in Beige was really great.. not too heavy on the face and worked also as a concealer cause it hid the blemishes and the  finish was super clean and nice. Not cakey and not shiny/oily.  Since then it has been my must have.

I actually also bought Matte Lipsticks before in Dusk and Skin.. I also have their Famous Lipstick in Espresso which is a deep brown color which I absolutely love.  I am a fan of Nudes, Dark Red, and Browns.  I love Matte Lipsticks cause the color's more vibrant and I am not a huge fan of super shiny lips. Since then i've had my Ever Bilena Favorites and I use it everyday depending on my mood.. hehe..

Lollipop Costume

Missha's teacher wrote on her journal a note for me to prepare a lollipop costume/props for my daughter for their presentation on November 15- their Family Day ♥ Being thehe doting mother + stage mother + self confessed DIY addict that I am .. I was at the mall on my lunch break getting the materials I need for this project! And yes... I am super excited to start making it.

The challenge however is that we have to use yarn and 1/8 size Illustration Board and it had to be a costume covering Missha's front and back tied by a yarn that should go around the neck... hmm...so the challenge was I had limited options to make it look nice..

I ended up buying 2 Illustration Boards, 2 styro boards, crepe papers in 4 different candy colors - bright yellow, bright pink, purple and bright blue ♥ also bought ribbons... start date of the project is the day after tomorrow - Sunday.. Once done I will post the work of art here ♥ ♥ ♥

I Need It In My Life!

Our nanny Jocelyn is now a dealer of Personal Collection.  I actually tried Personal Collection products before but I never really purchased more than two items until I showed my Yaya support and ordered different items from her .. i tried the White Dove Children's line before and loved it for my babies so I absolutely re-ordered it and I also ordered body sprays, lotion and Moisturizing Beauty Bars ♥ Yes... people cannot believe that I ordered soap because people know for a fact that I have always been a DOVE PINK or OLAY WHITE user for like a decade now... I was hesitant to try the soap at first but it just really smelled so good so I couldn't resist!

Okay.. for those who know me well I am a high maintenance woman, meaning MAARTE ako and somehow VAIN. So skin to me is a very big issue lol.. but I have to say that I was really impressed with Personal Collection's S'kin Moisturizing Bar.. it smells good and it truly moisturizes the skin.  I loved it instanly even on the first try!

First of all S'kin Moisturizing Beauty Bar Soap is the first Moisturizing beauty soap enriched with snail extract. It has this really unique bar shape for a more relaxing bath. The soap has Helix Aspersa Muller extract which is scientifically proven to help minimize skin aging.  The soap is packed by 100 grams per box and is P 70.00, a little pricey compared to the ordinary soaps in the market, but much cheaper than the beauty soaps you can buy at the mall.. the quality is amazing! Other soaps make you feel sticky after a few minutes of shower but this one is love love love.. you feel clean all day long and I forgot to mention that this is one hell of a beauty bar cause you smell clean after too... yup it fights body odors as well!

The funniest thing is I am liking this product so badly that it has become a part of my beauty regimen.. i must have it available everytime I take a bath.  I am actually on the 8th bar ♥ and I already made a deal with my yaya to order 10 bars for me every month ♥ ♥ ♥ Seriously, this is not a paid post or paid review this is me simply spreading the word that this soap is amazing! I am not sugar coating S'kin Soap I am really loving it and i am encouraging other laides and mommies out there to try it ♥ You might just love it the way i do...

Our yaya did mention that a new Glutathione Soap will be available soon at P109.00 per bar... guess what I just ordered 3 bars for me to try! I am excited to be honest!!!! Go back to the title of the post... yess... I seriously need this in my life ♥ It really changed my shower experience hehe.

Career Talk

My dad once told me to succeed in your career you have to put your love and passion into it.. you have to love what you do... you have to love your job.  When loyalty, effort, passion, dedication, and everything is given because you put so much love into your work you feel thankful and blessed that you have a job and you enjoy coming to work everyday...

But sometimes there are unexpected things and situations that happen that you completely have no control of and all the words that came out has caused a great impact  and damage in your entire being and you suddenly end up loosing that passion and love... it's so depressing and you just feel so hurt deep inside.. you feel that your heart is cut open because you put so much of you into that job.....

So can someone tell me... is it really true that you have to love your job and give it your 100% irregardless of the fact that sometimes even your innocence is not honored.. ?? Is it really a must that you have to love your job and give it your whole without considering that this move may break you into pieces in the end ??

Can someone explain this to me??? Can someone enlighten me???

Huwebes, Setyembre 25, 2014

Random Thoughts..

I have so many questions in mind.. I can't be straight forward and publicly blog about it cause it involves someone special and dear to my heart.. anyway I feel so sad cause I know he put so much love into his work and something like this happens... on a brighter side I have wanting him to move to a different developer anyways since last year and he believed in his current developer so much.. but with the system that commission is not prorated i feel the pinch of price increasing everywhere in everything and budgeting has become a challenge.

An old adage that we keep saying is the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.. with this situation I believe that NOW is the right time to move.  And whatever decision he makes he has my 101% support and love.. as always...

I love you so much.. through our ups and downs .. we will face them together ♥

Shams & Daddy

My Baby Shammy and Hubby... ♥
In this photo she was 3 months old (throwback)..
I love you my little one to the moon and back ♥
My children and hubby are life's greatest blessings ♥
They complete me ♥ ♥ ♥

Throwback ♥ DIY Filipiniana Costume

Last month's Buwan Ng Wika Celebration in Missha's school ♥ Yuph another DIY costume made by yours truly ♥ This took me a while to make hahaha... but I was happy with the outcome it looked nice and clean... The salakot was bought by Hubby in Carbon while the shell necklaces and fan I bough in Gaisano Country Mall (the mall near my workplace).. diba so cute ♥ Teacher loved her costume and other parents admired it which made me really super proud ♥

Throwback ♥ DIY Headdress

Super sorry for the bad image quality I have no idea why my phone camera when I took these photos gave me horrible image quality (moist in the cam almost which made it really blurred).. anyway this photo was taken back in June for Nutrition Month.  My daughter was asked to bring her own headdress with photos of vegetables and fruits.. i improvised and made it all 3D fruits and vegetables ♥ Yup yup yup she won best in headdress ♥ ♥ ♥

DIY Hula Skirt ♥

Okay so I miserably failed with the 30 day blog challenge.. i just can't do it. Ibang iba na talaga unlike before I had so much time to blog about almost anything and everything.. while now even if I keep reminding myself the daily blog challenge I just don't have time to do it.. so enough of the challenge LOL!

So what made me really busy? Hmm you see I am a full time working regular employee + trying hard to be hands on mommy + dedicated wife. So really its work and my family which really keeps me busy and I think thats normal naman diba? Being the doting mother and DIY addict that I am .. I have decided to make my daughter's UN Culmination costume as early as now.. I made her a Hula Skirt to represent Hawaii or French Polynesia (whichever).. hula skirt, pompons, garlands and flower crown is done. I just have to make the sash and the flag. UN Culmination is celebrated every October right? And in Missha's school culmination activity is every Friday of the month but I pressured myself to do it and finish it as early as now because Missha's 2nd Periodic Exams are scheduled middle of October and I want to be able to focus in reviewing with her.. reason why I made sure that even before the exam week the planned DIY UN costume is done and out of the way.

I would like to share with you my latest DIY project made with soooo much love and passion hehe.. my daughter's HULA SKIRT ♥ ♥ ♥

Voila ♥ I feel so accomplished and happy looking at it.. my labor of love..
It took me 2 1/2 days to put it all together.. how? here's what I did.

First, I searched online for hula skirt inspirations and saw tons on pinterest and google images. After I found that inspiration I used my imagination and creativity to decide on which colors I will be using and settled with Yellow and Orange (since she had a bikini top with the same colors to match with).  Once the idea was all set in my mind off I went to stores to get the materials needed.

Materials:
1. Duraflex Twine - bought in Gaisano Country Mall. Picked color yellow (43.00 per big roll). Bought 4 rolls but only used 2 1/2 rolls.

2. Elastic Band - bought the 1/2 thick (6.50 per meter). Bought one meter but used only half.

3. Thread and Needle. - Yellow thread (7.00 per small roll) Needle (1.00 from local store).

4. Artificial Flowers- Yellow and Orange color combination for the Hula Skirt waist. (39.00 per stem with 5 flowers in Unitop Store)

5. Artifical Flowers - Assorted colors for the garland. (50.00 for pack of 30 flowers)

6. Small Artificial Flowers - Yellow and Orange color combination for the flower crown (69.00 from Gaisano Country Mall)

7. Brush or comb.

These are the things that I used in making the skirt and how this is how I pulled it together:

Cut the duraflex twines with the correct length.

get the correct waist measurement of the garter
and keep in mind a little extra for allowance.

Once this is all set use a chair for the garter ensure that the chair is not too big and make the garter all loosen up.. ensure that the measurement of the garter is ok. Then attach the twines to the garter using the cow hitch knot. Once the twines are knotted to the elastic band completely use a brush or comb and comb the twines to make it look nicer, fluffler and finer. Now the reason why i used a thicker elastic band is because it looks nicer with the cow hitch knot and it's also flatter meaning - its more comfortable to wear.

Once the skirt is done it's time to accessorize it.  Bring on the flowers and start arranging them nicely on the waist part of the skirt and secure it by sewing it.  Use variations of flowers to make it nicer and put the flowers on the front and back waist part of the skirt to make it look neat and nice front and back. Once done voila.. you have your DIY Hula skirt.

For the garland and the flower crown you just want to put them together and make it nice and that's it. I also made little pompoms for my daughter to complete the ensemble. For the pompoms I used the same method except I used an orange ribbon instead of an elastic band..

flower crown and hawaiian garland ♥

I am so proud of myself for having done these costume and pieces for Missha.. to be honest I cant wait to see my baby in school wearing my creation hehe...

Mommy's I hope I was able to give you an idea on how to make a hula skirt for your little one.. not only is is more practical, but more creative and unique as well and I am sure with lots of love into your work your baby will stand out ♥

My Favorite Movie

Have you guys seen the movie entitled "Heaven Is For Real?" This movie is actually a novel which was published in November 2010 and written by Lynn Vincent, Sonja and Todd Burpo. Then on April 2014 they initially released the movie.

The reason why I love this movie is because it sharpened my faith.  Once the movie started playing as in hindi ko maalis sarili ko sa harap ng TV talaga super ganda.. maybe i was emotionally into the movie because I am a mother and wife just like the character of the mom in the movie and my children mean the world to me.

The story was about a boy who got really ill and had to undergo surgery, he wasn't really doing well that he died while on the Operating Table and came back to life.  Once he was back he started talking about how he met the Angels in Heaven and God and everybody thought it was ridiculous.. but towards the end of the movie everyone's faith sharpened narin.

If you haven't seen this movie I say watch it.  And watch it with your family.. you heart will be touched by it.

I Miss Blogging

I really missed doing this... i miss having this space online where I can express my thoughts through writing. There are days when you feel that facebook and instagram have become too mainstream and you feel the need to go back to your roots, to your original sounding board, to that space where only quite a few really take a peek. Today is one of those days and I never felt so guilty to have foresaken one thing I love doing the most - blogging.

I have to say that it was Sis Yesha ♥ who made me start this blog again when she posted this on my facebook wall:

To be honest, I super miss blogging.  I actually have a blog right now (on private mode though) so here I am starting a new "public" blog.. hehe.  Before my blog was about myself.. it focussed on fashion, make up, girlyness, gadgets, and gossips LOL this time around (since I've matured somehow after 6 years of marriage and two babies) this blog will focus on my journey in marriage and motherhood. ♥

So join me in this exciting journey of mine and together lets make life fabulous ♥

Lunes, Setyembre 8, 2014

Hello!

Hmm.. that doesn’t really sound like a groundbreaking to start a blog.  How do you start one anyway? Well, let me just tell you WHY.. as a wife and mother, I sometimes feel like the days just pass by too quickly (wait, what day is it now anyways?!).  So, this blog will serve as a break from my hectic schedule (feeding, changing diapers, watching cartoons, and working in the office..) A little “ME” time of sorts where I can share my thoughts (before I go insane!), my experiences (lots of firsts!), and anythings and everything in between.
Join me as I write about my life as a working wife and trying-hard-to-be-hands-on-mommy to my 2 wonderful babies despite my career demands (being part of Management in a Hotel here in Cebu).  Together, let’s make life and motherhood fabulous!

Meet my Family ♥
